Speaker of Parliament Sultan al-Brakani and Ambassador of the United Kingdom (UK) to the Republic of Yemen Maichael Aron conferred over the latest developments in the Yemeni national scene and arrangements about the implementation of Riyadh Agreement.
As he met Aron on Tuesday al-Brakani cited the military escalation by Houthi militia in several Yemeni regions, holding the militia accountable for blocking Stockholm Agreement and other former arrangements.
The conversations touched upon the ongoing consultations led by the UN's envoy to Yemen Mr. Martin Griffiths to reach political settlement based on the UN's resolutions in relevant.
The Parliament Speaker stressed the urgency for speeding the implementation of Riyadh Agreement as it is considered to be a significant step on the political solution path to achieve stability the Yemeni people are looking forward to.
He reiterated the legitimate government's support for the UN-led efforts to make a sustainable peace for all Yemeni peoples.
The UK Ambassador affirmed his country's stance in support of Yemen, its unity and stability. He stated that realizing peace in Yemen is necessary.
