The Authority of Geological Survey and Mineral Resources, Hadramout Branch has carried out this year eight studies on industrial and clay minerals such as gypsum, granite and pozana.
The studies took place in the governorates of Hadramout, Shabwa, Mahra and Socotra.
The Director of the Authority, Eng. Salah Babhair, told Saba the Authority also signed 36 agreements with local, Arab and foreign investors to work and invest in the field of mining.
He also said that the Authority has participated in establishing a Geology Department in the Faculty of Science at Hadramout University of Science and Technology.
