Parliamentary delegation meets with UN Under-Secretary- General for Political Affairs

The Yemeni Parliamentary delegation met on Thursday with Under-Secretary of the United Nations for Political Affairs and Peace Rosemary A. DiCarlo.
The delegation headed by Deputy Speaker of the Parliament Abdulaziz Jubari. The meeting held on the sideline of the International Parliamentary Union's session convened at the headquarters of the UN in New York.
The conversations focussed on the UN's role in Yemen through the Secretary General Special Envoy Martin Griffiths.
Jubari has made it clear that the Government is keen on establishing the comperhensive sustainable peace based on the three terms of reference.
He called on the UN and the International Security Council to press for reaching a comperhensive political settlement in Yemen.
The discussions also touched upon the humanitarian suffering due to Houthi militia's interventions in international organizations operate in relief and humanitarian actions.
The UN official voiced concerns about the Yemeni peoples' suffering, demonstrating well understanding of the Yemeni dilemma.
