Ashargabi, JICA sign agreement to support water sector in Yemen

Acting-Minister of Water and Environment Eng. Tawfiq Ashargabi and Director of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in Republic of Yemen and Arab Republic of Egypt Amora Fomi inked an agreement Monday in Cairo aimed to support water sector in Yemen.
Under the agreement the Japanese projects for supporting rural water sector in Yemen will be extended until 31 December 2021.
The project is designed to provide clean drinking water in 19 locations in the countryside of the governorates Sana'a, Taiz, Ibb, Dhamar and Mahweat.
