U.S. Treasury Sanctions 21 Individuals, Entities for Involvement in Financing Houthi Militias
The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced today the designation of 21 individuals and entities, as well as the identification of one vessel, on the sanctions list for their involvement in transporting petroleum products, purchasing weapons and equipment and providing financial services to the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militias.

Houthi militia detains 28 relief trucks in Ibb governorate

Minister of Local Administration — Chairman of High Relief Committee —Abduraqeeb Fatah condemned Houthi rebel militia for holding back 28 trucks laden with relief and humanitarian aids at the eastern entrance of Ibb governorate. 13 trucks came from Aden loaded humanitarian aids allocated to the governorates of (Hodeidah, Hajjah, al-Mahweat Ryahma and Saada).

In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) Fatah called on the UN Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs in Yemen Lise Grande to act immediately to release relief trucks and to denounce the Houthi rebel militia's criminal violations against relief aids on a daily basis.

The Minister also called on the Under-Secretary for Humanitarian Affairs and Coordinator for Emergencies Mark Lowckock to condemn such criminal acts and report about to the International Security Council that should act to stop these recurrent violations by the Houthi rebel militiamen.
