The talks went over the latest development of the conflict and the chances of peace that the UN Secretary General's Special Envoy Martin Griffiths is working on.
Al-Maqdashi reiterated the government's commitment to peace based on the agreed upon terms of reference. He said that the government has honored all the previous agreements reached in peace talks, including the latest "Stockholm Agreement" out of its interest to bring the suffering of the Yemenis to an end. However, he said, the Houthi militia had persistently and stubbornly dismissed those peace opportunities.
