PM, US diplomat discuss economic deterioration in Yemen

Prime Minister Ahmed bin-Daghr received the deputy head of the US diplomatic mission for Yemen Ana Escrogima on Tuesday and discussed with her the economic deterioration in Yemen as a result of the dramatic depreciation of the national currency, the Riyal.

Bin-Daghr expressed the appreciation of the Yemeni government and people for the American commitment to supporting Yemen and putting an end to the Houthi coup and for the US awareness of the Iranian role . in destabilizing the security of the region and the world.

He pointed out that the Yemeni government has been dedicated to reaching a political solution to the Houthi coup-induced crisis, based on the three terms of reference for peace; The Gulf Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference, and the relevant UN Security Council resolutions.

"The Houthi militia have never been serious about entering into peace because their decisions are in the hands of their Iranian supporters," said bin-Daghr.
