The Minister of Youths and Sports Nayef al-Bakri conferred today, Thursday, with the British Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen Abda Sharif over bilateral relations and cooperation.

Prime Minister Ahmad Obeid bin-Daghr has stressed on finalizing all power projects, which are currently under construction for increasing generating electricity and facing energy shortage.
Presiding over a meeting to Electricity Committee on Sunday and attended by Minister of Electricity and Energy Abdullah al-Akwa', bin-Daghr confirmed that the government has provided all capabilities and spare parts for rehabilitating stopped power plants.
He said more than 130 MW have been added to the network service this year and that another 120 MW will be added during the forthcoming two weeks, a matter will alleviate power blackouts and improve the service.
The meeting dealt with sabotage acts faced by generating plants from time to time by outlaw groups and random power conductivity, as well as challenges facing the General Corporation for Electricity and making solutions.
He pointed to difficult situations Yemen is going through and shortage of capabilities and resources over the barbaric war is being waged by Houthi militia on the state, saying even though the government did everything possible to improve services and provided fuel to generating plants with monthly cost of USD 50 million.
The meeting approved imminent implementation of President's directives on making a plan and programs for facing random connection, economic consumption of power by senior consumers and raising awareness for facings sabotage acts against power plants.
