The Saudi-led Coalition, in cooperation with the United Nations and peace sponsors in Yemen, has taken great and active step for lifting suffering of the Yemeni people and activating humanitarian work, Saudi Ambassador to Yemen Mohammad Al Jaber has said.
The humanitarian plan exceeds provision of food, medicines and shelters to the displaced people to increasing relief imports and trade goods, said Al Jaber ina seminar organized by the UN here in the framework of the Donor Conference for financing humanitarian plan in Yemen.
He added that Saudi Arabia and the UAE made the greatest pledges of USD one billion for the UN organizations operating in Yemen.
" Saudi Arabia and the countries of the Coalition established- with the beginning of the humanitarian operations in Yemen- a logistic center for inclusive humanitarian operations to be tasked with implementation of the provision of distribution inside Yemen with all relevant organizations and bodies," said Al Jaber.
He confirmed that Saudi Arabia believes the political solution in Yemen is the key solution to the crisis.
