Kuwaiti Fund signs Grant Agreement Worth $1.2 million for displaced persons in Yemen
The Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development signed Thursday a Grant Agreement with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) worth $1.2 million to contribute to the rehabilitation and maintenance of homes for displaced persons in Yemen.

Ministry of Health distributes Lab. Equipment worth 900,000 Euro

Minister of Public Health and Population Dr Nasser Mohssen Ba-aum launched Thursday in the interim capital Aden the distribution of first batch of medical equipment and requirement with total cost estimated at 900 thousand euro.

These equipment provided by the World Bank through the World Health Organization (WHO).

The medical assistance included equipment for Laboratories to be distributed to the public hospitals in the provinces of Aden, Luhj, Abyan and Al-Dale'a.

Dr Ba-aum explained that there are still more medical equipment to be supplied in aid with a total cost up to 2 million euro.

The Director of WHO in Aden Dr Hussein Othman stressed the importance of cooperation between the WHO and Yemeni government. He noted that the first batch of the medical assistance targets 59 hospitals in 20 provinces, 29 hospitals in the southern and eastern provinces and 30 hospitals in the northern provinces.
