The Committee of Relief Aid in Abyan and the Local Council secretary general Mahdi al-Hamedhave convened a meeting to discuss the situation of people internally displaced in the province.
Hundreds of families have been forced by the Houthi rebel militia to flee their hometowns in Sana'a, Taiz and Hodeidah to the southeastern province.
The meeting which was attended by al-KhadherLashraf the local representative of the International Organization for Migration discussd the provision of shelter and humanitarian aid.
The meeting decided to approach the Kuwaiti-Yemeni Agency for Relief to study the setting up of a special shelter camp and database about these fugitives to share the information with the donor organizations.
