Yemen's political parties have asserted their "full support for the legitimate and elected President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi" and his government in the face of challenges Yemenis going through as a result of Houthi-Saleh insurgency.
The eight major stakeholders inclusive of the General People's Congress, the Yemeni Congregation for Reform and Yemeni Socialist parties met with Hadi and exchanged with him consultations over the political landscape. Following the meeting, they issued a communiqué in which they expressed their unity behind Hadi's leadership.
In addition to this support, the statement emphasized other key stances including: Partnership with and support to the government and call for further efforts to stabilize the government-held provinces and liberate the other provinces under the Houthi-Saleh militias' control; support to the Saudi-led Arab Coalition in countering the Iranian expansionist agenda in
Yemen; support to the UN Special Envoy Ismail Ould Cheikh's efforts in quest of political settlement based on the three internationally recognized references for peace; rejection of all sectarian or regionalist trends from any source or the formation of any military entities outside the mainstream military institution; condemnation of the Houthi-Saleh militias' attack of Saudi Arabia with Iranian missiles and the threats to attack the UAE city of Abu Dhabi; the Yemeni people's stand behind the government to begin the reconstruction process in the government-held provinces.
The statement also hailed Hadi's meeting with the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman saying the outcomes of it "will alleviate our people's suffering and contribute to the stabilization and development of the government retaken provinces."
