ADEN-SABA
The Ministry of Defense announced on Thursday the launch of a wide-ranging security campaign across Yemen's liberated governorates, with a particular focus on the eastern governorates of Hadramout and al-Mahra, as part of its constitutional responsibility to safeguard security and stability.
In a statement received by Saba, the ministry said the campaign follows a series of highway robberies and assassinations targeting civilians and members of the armed forces, most recently the killing of Osama al-Radfani and his companions.
The ministry said the operation aims to dismantle networks involved in terrorism, sabotage, and smuggling, pursue outlaws, enhance security and stability, protect citizens, secure roads, and reinforce state authority.
It reaffirmed that the armed forces will continue to carry out their national duty with determination and responsibility to defend the country and safeguard the security, safety, and stability of its citizens.
