The Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council Abdullatif al-Zayyani and the UN Envoy to Yemen Ismail Ould Cheikh discussed on Monday evening latest developments in Yemen.
Al-Zayyani confirmed support of the GCC countries to efforts exerted by the UN envoy for reactivating the political process and reaching a political solution keeping the security, stability and sovereignty of Yemen and ending suffering of the Yemeni people.
He also stressed on double efforts of the International Community to provide more humanitarian aid to Yemen.
The meeting dealt with reviving political negotiation in Yemen in accordance with the GCC Initiative, the Outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and the UN Resolution 2216.
