The Minister of Youths and Sports Nayef al-Bakri conferred today, Thursday, with the British Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen Abda Sharif over bilateral relations and cooperation.

In a meeting with the Egyptian Foreign Minister SamehShoukry, Yemen's Foreign Minister Abdul-Malik al-Mekhlafi praised the Egyptian permanent mission in the UN office Geneva for supporting Yemen especially in presenting the Arab Group resolution to the HRC concerning investigation into human rights situation in Yemen.
The resolution of the Arab Group, led by Egypt, was passed and accordingly a group of international experts will examine human rights situations but the National Committee for Investigating into Alleged Human Rights Abuses will be the prime responsible for such investigations. According to the resolution under Item 10, the Committee will receive technical and capacity building assistance from the international community to carry on with its mission.
Al-Mekhlafiappreciated Egypt's leading role in drafting and submitting this resolution and asked Shoukry to convey President Abdu Rabbu Mansour Hadi's greetings to his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.
Al-Mekhlafi acquainted Shoukry about the latest political and humanitarian developments in the country and the efforts that the government is exerting to restore normal life in the provinces retaken from the Saleh-Houthi coup militias.
Shoukry affirmed Egypt's support to Yemen's government in maintaining unity, security and stability.
He expressed support to the UN Special Envoy's efforts to broker a political settlement highlighting the importance of international pressure on the Saleh-Houthi militias to return to negotiations and to react positively with the offered peace initiatives.
The two officials agreed on a number of measures to facilitate the entry of Yemenis to Egypt and their residence and investments in the country.
