Minister of Fisheries: More than 500 boats granted to fishermen

The Minister of Agriculture Fahd Kafayen said that the government has granted more than 500 boats to fishermen in Abyan and 100 fishing boat motor engines to fishermen in Socotra.
The grants are sort of a compensation for fishermen hit by the Chaballa and Meg cyclones that hit the mentioned areas in the past years.
The minister said the compensation process will continue into the next months.
The minister said that during the rest of 2017, the government will seek to arrange a boat specific for conducting researches about fish reservoirs.
