The Kuwaiti Fund for Arab Economic Development signed Thursday a Grant Agreement with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) worth $1.2 million to contribute to the rehabilitation and maintenance of homes for displaced persons in Yemen.

The Emirati Red Crescent has distributed various humanitarian aids to the destitute families, orphans and widowed women in Al-Qafein of Mukalla district, Hadhramout.
The ERC deputy head Ahmed al-Niyadi said the aid campaign was meant to cover the food gap among the destitute community which are caused by the difficult humanitarian situations.
"This aid will reduce to a large extent the suffering of the community," he said. He promised that the ERC will continue to work for improving the living standard of the population.
