UN Special Envoy for Yemen Hans Grundberg has welcomed Jordan’s announcement to resume flights between Sana’a and Amman, describing the move as a positive step toward expanding access to civilian air travel for Yemenis.
In a post on his X platform, Grundberg said the initiative would contribute positively to widening the availability of civilian air travel for Yemenis, which was a key principle of the 2022 truce.
He added that facilitating civilian flights remains an important humanitarian priority, stressing the need for continued efforts to ease the movement of people and support Yemenis affected by the ongoing crisis.
