TRIPOLI-SABA
Yemen has reaffirmed its commitment to expanding industrial cooperation with Arab countries during the 29th General Assembly of the Arab Organization for Industrial Development, Standardization and Mining, held at the ministerial level in Tripoli.

Minister of Industry and Trade Dr. Mohammed al-Ashwal, who headed Yemen's delegation, said the country's participation reflects its determination to play an active role in specialized Arab institutions while drawing on regional expertise to modernize Yemen's industrial sector, boost its competitiveness, and support long-term economic growth.

The minister said closer Arab coordination, stronger strategic partnerships, and greater investment in advanced technologies and artificial intelligence are essential to building a more resilient industrial sector capable of responding to global challenges. He added that such efforts would strengthen industrial and food security while creating new opportunities for investment, technology transfer, and knowledge exchange across the Arab world.

The assembly focused on measures to deepen Arab industrial integration, improve standardization and mining frameworks, accelerate digital transformation, and promote innovation through joint initiatives designed to enhance the competitiveness of Arab industries.
