ADEN – SABA
Member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi met Saturday with the Deputy Chief of the General Staff, Major General Ahmed Al-Basr Salem Saeed, along with a number of heads of military authorities and leaders in the Ministry of Defense.

He discussed the level of readiness, the progress of work in several military bodies and departments, and efforts to strengthen coordination and integration among military units and formations.

Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi expressed his deep appreciation for the sacrifices made by the heroes of the armed forces and all military formations on different fronts in confronting the terrorist Houthi militia backed by the Iranian regime.

He praised their heroic positions in defending the homeland and its achievements, emphasizing that these sacrifices represent the fundamental pillar of the state’s resilience and the protection of the national project.

He stressed that the current stage requires the highest levels of readiness, discipline, unity of ranks, unification of military decision-making, and increased coordination and integration among all forces.

He emphasized that the battle against the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist militia and terrorist organizations is a decisive one that demands high vigilance and responsible national spirit.

Dr. al-Alimi also stressed that the military institution must remain a model of discipline, unity, and inclusiveness, away from political, regional, or social calculations. He affirmed that differences in political views should not turn into conflict, exclusion, or marginalization, and that such differences should instead be addressed through dialogue and institutional work, not escalation or division.

He praised the significant fraternal role played by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in supporting Yemen and its leadership, backing the armed forces, enhancing their capabilities, and contributing to the building of a professional national military institution capable of performing its duties efficiently and responsibly.

In this context, the member of the Presidential Leadership Council pointed to the importance of the role played by the Joint Forces under the leadership of Lieutenant General Fahd bin Hamad Al-Salman, Commander of the Joint Forces, in supporting efforts to organize and coordinate military work, raise readiness levels, and enhance the effectiveness of the forces in a way that serves security and stability efforts and addresses challenges.

Al-Alimi emphasized the importance of continuing to work in a spirit of one team, strengthening the institutional building of the armed forces, focusing on training, qualification, and discipline, and developing support systems and human resources in order to build a strong, organized military institution capable of protecting the homeland and defending its security and stability.

For his part, Deputy Chief of the General Staff Major General Ahmed al-Basar Salem Saeed affirmed that the armed forces would remain at the highest levels of readiness and discipline, committed to their national duties in defending the homeland and confronting the terrorist Houthi militia and terrorist organizations.

He noted that the bodies and departments of the Ministry of Defense are working with a team spirit to strengthen operational coordination, improve training and qualification efficiency, and develop support and combat readiness aspects.

Major General Al-Basar, on behalf of the attending military leaders, expressed appreciation for the attention of the Presidential Leadership Council and Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi’s follow-up on the conditions and needs of the armed forces, affirming that the military institution will continue to serve as a model of discipline and unity and will carry out its duties with full responsibility and competence.
