Al-Alimi praises Yemeni crowds expressing support for Saudi Arabia, Gulf states against Iranian aggression
[30/03/2026 03:15]

ADEN – SABA
Member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi has praised P
people's demonstration in Taiz and in Marib supporting Saudi Arabia, Gulf states and jordan.

“The large crowds that took to the streets Monday in Taiz Governorate and earlier in Marib Governorate—with broad participation from men, women, elders, and children—in support of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Gulf states and Jordan, and in explicit condemnation of Iranian aggression, are not merely passing demonstrations," said al-Alimi.

Rather, they represent an authentic Yemeni popular stance and a clear political message reflecting a deep Arab identity and sincere gratitude toward our brothers who have stood with Yemen in its decisive battle, he said.

Dr. al-Alimi added in his statement:
“These massive gatherings clearly reflect the significant place that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia holds in the hearts of Yemenis—both leadership and people—and confirm that this loyalty is not momentary, but stems from a deep awareness of the Kingdom’s steadfast position alongside Yemen in confronting the destructive Iranian project that has targeted Yemen’s land, people, and state through its coup means and militias that disregard national identity and the interests of its people.”

He continued:
“Over the years, Yemenis have experienced the reality of this hostile Iranian project and the destruction, fragmentation, and overthrow of the state and its institutions that it has caused. Therefore, their massive turnout today is a declaration of an unambiguous stance: Yemenis stand with their brothers in Saudi Arabia and with the security of the Gulf and Jordan in confronting the Iranian threat and its destabilizing proxies, which do not target a single country, but rather the security, stability, and future of the entire Arab region.”

He also considered this spontaneous and large-scale public turnout as a message of loyalty and explicit recognition of Saudi Arabia’s honorable role toward Yemen.

The Kingdom, he said, has never been a fleeting position or limited support; rather, it has been—and continues to be—a sincere ally, an active presence, and a fundamental pillar in supporting Yemen politically, humanitarianly, and developmentally, while working earnestly to heal the wounds of its people, restore its institutions, and end the coup of the Iran-backed Houthi militias.

Dr. al-Alimi concluded his statement by saying:
“Today, Taiz and Marib speak on behalf of all Yemen, expressing the will of its people from al-Mahrah to Saada in one firm and clear position.
