Ambassador of Yemen to the Russian Federation Dr. Ahmed al-Wuhaishi, discussed Monday with the First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Science, Education, and Culture of the Russian Federation Council ways to activate cultural relations and scientific research cooperation between Yemeni and Russian universities, as well as increasing the number of scholarships offered to Yemen.
Al-Wuhaishi also addressed the current developments in Yemen and the formation of the new government, emphasizing the importance of strengthening and developing bilateral parliamentary cooperation between the two countries through the exchange of expertise between the Parliament and the Shura Council in Yemen and the State Duma and the Federation Council in Russia.
For his part, the First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Science, Education, and Culture of the Russian Federation Council affirmed the importance of activating bilateral parliamentary cooperation between the two friendly countries, including enhancing the role of civil society organizations.
