Leadership Council Avows To Take All Measures To Prevent Violations of Yemeni sovereignty

The Presidential Leadership Council (PLC)held an extraordinary meeting chaired by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, the Chairman of the Council, with the presence of all its members Sultan al-Aradah, Tariq Saleh, Abdulrahman al-Mahrami, Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi, Othman Majli, Mahmoud al-Subaihi and Salem Al-Khanbashi to discuss national and regional developments and the proposed policies to address them at all levels. The Ambassador of Yemen to China, Dr. Mohammed Al-Maitami, met with China's Director-General of West Asian and North African Affairs, Chen Weiqing, in Beijing to discuss Yemen's current political and security situation.

The talks focused on regional and international efforts to support the peace process, enhance security and stability, and restore Yemeni state institutions.

Al-Maitami briefed Chen on recent developments in Yemen, including unilateral actions by the Southern Transitional Council that undermine peace efforts and national unity.

The Yemeni government, led by President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, reaffirmed its commitment to de-escalation and called for military forces to withdraw from Hadramawt and al-Mahra governorates.

China expressed support for Yemen's unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, and pledged to continue backing political efforts for a comprehensive solution to the crisis.
