NEW YORK - SABA
Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, along with Council members Major General Aidaroos al-Zubaidi and Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi, met Tuesday with President Ahmed Al-Sharaa of the Syrian Arab Republic on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly meetings.

For his part, the Syrian President praised the historical relations between the two countries and the importance of close bilateral coordination in confronting common challenges.

Al-Sharaa expressed his appreciation for the position of the Yemeni leadership, government and people alongside the Syrian people, and his wishes for the Yemeni people to achieve their aspirations to restore their state institutions, security and stability.
