ADEN - SABA
The Yemeni Network for Rights and Freedoms has documented the Houthi terrorist militias, supported by the Iranian regime, committing 5,282 violations against women in Yemen from January 1, 2017, to January 1, 2025.

The network clarified in a report on the occasion of International Women's Day, celebrated on March 8 each year, that the violations committed by the militias against women were distributed across 17 governorates: Hodeida, Dhale'a, Taiz, Hajjah, Dhamar, Lahj, Marib, Raymah, Shabwa, Ibb, Abyan, Sana'a, Baydhaa, Jawf, Saada, Sana'a Governorate, Aden, and Amran.

The report indicated that the violations varied, including (1,466) cases of murder and (3,379) cases of injury due to shelling, landmine explosions, sniper fire, and random live ammunition by the Houthis, in addition to (547) cases of abduction, disappearance and torture.

The report highlighted that the Houthi militias kidnapped and unlawfully detained (547) women in (12) Yemeni governorates during the reporting period. It noted that (69) women have been abducted by the Houthi militias were taken to secret prisons and subjected to enforced disappearance for periods ranging from 3 months to a full year before their detention locations were revealed, while the fate of some remains unknown to this day, including (47) cases in Sanaa, (13) cases in Sana'a Governorate, and (9) cases in Hodeida.

The Yemeni Network for Rights and Freedoms confirmed that despite the various methods and means of war, women remain a target of these Houthi crimes, with continuous killings and bloodshed due to ongoing shelling targeting civilians' homes and residential neighborhoods, even in areas far from front lines.

The network stated, "No human right has been spared from violation, and no family has escaped having its rights violated directly or indirectly, with no segment of society remaining untouched by the violations of the Houthi militias over the past ten years."

The report addressed the conditions of women due to the excessive violence and the documented killings and crimes committed by the terrorist Houthi militias, calling on the international community and the United Nations Security Council to take responsibility for protecting women in Yemen from the terrorism exercised by the Houthi terrorist militia.
