President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, with him council member Sultan al-Arada, met today met with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun on the sidelines of the extraordinary Arab Summit in Cairo.
The two leaders discussed bilateral relations, regional developments, and ways to strengthen cooperation between their countries.
They also exchanged congratulations, with Dr. Al-alimi felicitating President Aoun on his election and wishing him success.
Dr. Al-Alimi reiterated Yemen's support for Lebanon's sovereignty, government, and national institutions, emphasizing the importance of non-interference in internal affairs and the exclusive right of the Lebanese state to control its territory.
President Aoun expressed Lebanon's full support for the Yemeni people's aspirations for peace, stability, and development, and hoped for enhanced bilateral relations in various fields.
