The Governor of Aden Ahmed Lamlas highlighted the need for substantial economic and financial assistance to support the efforts of the government and local authorities to mitigate the harsh economic hardships the country has been experiencing.
" The dire economic situation currently requires joining national and international efforts to handle it", he said..
He voiced his appeal during his talks today, Wednesday, with the Head of the EU Delegation in Yemen Gabriele Vinal, French Ambassador Katharine Common Corm Kammoun, German Ambassador Hubert Jager and the Dutch Ambassador Jennette Seppen.
"Regional and international economic and financial support for the government and the Local Authorities is urgently needed"—Lamlas stressed.
The governor detailed the EU diplomats on the situations in the governorate of Aden and the efforts have been made by the government and local authority to establish stability and improve basic services in the city of Aden.

They also restated that they are keen to continue the cooperation and partnership with the Presidential Leadership Council and the government to contribute to achieving stability and the prosperity of Aden city.
