Minister of Oil and Minerals Dr. Saeed al-Shammasi and the Governor of Shabwah Sheikh Awad bin al-Wazir officially launched the construction of a medical college and health sciences project in Shabwah.
This ambitious undertaking, valued at over $1.656 million, will comprise three primary buildings.
The first edifice will house the college's administration and educational facilities, in addition to lecture halls, a central library, and laboratories.
The second building will be dedicated to the mortuary, while the third will provide essential services and recreational facilities for students.
The Minister and Governor also inspected the progress of a solar energy project, supported by the United Arab Emirates, which will be constructed on a vast area of 560,000 square meters.
The project will involve the installation of solar panel systems, the establishment of six transformation stations, and the construction of a power transmission network.
