The Deputy Governor of Marib governorate Dr. Abed Rabbo Meftah discussed today, Sunday, with the Acting Director of the International Committee for Red Cross (ICRC) office in Marib Andrea Pascarelli the ongoing arrangements for the opening of the headquarters of the ICRC delegation in the governorate.
The discussions also touched on the expansion of its activities to keep pace with the scale of displacement in the governorate.
Dr. Meftah detailed the ICRC's official on the latest developments about the humanitarian situation of the IDPs and the suffering they suffer in light of the low and weak level of interventions by UN and international organizations.
He also explained the deterioration of the living conditions of the IDPs and the host community due to economic hardships and the collapse of the slide of national currency exchange rate.
The head of the ICRC 's Office in Marib indicated that this year's action plan includes an expansion in its previous areas of activities, including support for offices, service agencies and the judiciary, in addition to interventions in the health field and support for agriculture in the districts of Harib and Raghwan.
