TAIZ - SABA
The Governor of Taiz Nabil Shamsan held talks with the UN Resident Coordinator in Yemen Julien Harneis and his deputy Dr. Iman Al-Shanqiti over enhancing partnership in humanitarian activism and the plan of transition to sustainable development.
The governor hailed the UN efforts to alleviate the suffering as a result of the growing service burden after the unblocking of the city's eastern outlet and the continuation of Houthi war and siege however.
Talks went over the criteria that led to the adoption of projects and aid that do not match the governorate's needs given the density of the population. Talks also touched on the importance of focusing on supporting the sectors of health, water, sanitation and technical education in the city.
