RIYADH – SABA
The Minister of Public Health and Population Dr. Qassem Buhaibeh discussed on thursday with Assistant Supervisor General of the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen Eng. Hassan al-Attas areas of cooperation and development interventions carried out by the program to support the health sector in Yemen.
The meeting reviewed strategic health projects implemented by the Saudi program in several governorates, most notably the operation and support of hospitals and healthcare facilities in the Socotra Archipelago, Shabwa Governorate, and the city of Mocha in Taiz Governorate, in addition to Prince Mohammed bin Salman Hospital in the temporary capital, Aden.
These facilities provide medical and therapeutic services that have contributed to improving healthcare and alleviating patients’ suffering.
The discussion also covered new health projects that the program is working to implement and establish in the governorates of Dhalea, Taiz, Lahj and Hadhramout.
These projects aim to strengthen the health sector’s infrastructure, enhance its operational and service capacities, and complete the foundational arrangements for the Health Fund.
