NEW YORK – SABA
Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council Dr. Rashad al-Alimi has emphasized that Yemen is looking forward to work with the peoples of the world to build a future of peace, stability and prosperity.
Addressing the Summit of the Future, hosted by the UN General Assembly, the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council said, "Our peoples have unlimited hopes to work together to build a future of peace and prosperity, in which human dignity and equal citizenship are preserved, and in a multilateral world that is effective, just and inclusive, and ensures that none of us are left behind."
He said, "It is a valuable chance to speak to you at this important occasion as we all renew our joint commitment to the principles of international solidarity, mutual respect, and close cooperation."
He spelled out Yemen's agony and difficult challenges brought about by the terrorist Houthi militia's war during the last decade with Iranian support, and how that wreaked havoc on all aspects of life in Yemen.
"Hence, our priorities may differ from those of most of your countries, especially those states that enjoy peace and stability, but our aspirations are for a promising future, which all peoples deserve."
