Foreign direct investment in actual use in China has reached 412.5 billion yuan (about 57.94 billion US dollars) in the first five months of the current year 2024.
The Chinese Ministry of Commerce stated, on its website, that the recorded figure was 28.2 percent lower compared to the same period last year, noting that despite the decrease, 21,764 new companies with foreign investments were established throughout China during the period covered by the report, an increase of 17.4 percent.
