The Republic of Yemen has welcomed the decision by the Kingdom of Spain, Kingdom of Norway and the Republic of Ireland to recognize the state of Palestine.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates described in a statement learned by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) the decision as a move of paramount importance to achieve the Palestinian people' aspiration and to support the efforts aiming establish peace, security and stability in the region.

The Ministry reiterated the ironclad support of the Republic of Yemen to the Palestinian people's legitimate rights to establish its independent state with the East al-Quds as its capital.
