President al-Alimi receives Judiciary Authority leadership

Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council Dr. Rashad al-Alimi met Saturday with the Chairman of the Supreme Judiciary Council Mohsen bin Taleb, the Head of the Supreme Court Judge Ali al-Awash and General Prosecutor Qaher Mustafa.

In the meeting attended by Prime Minister Ahmad BinMubarak and Minister of Justice Badr al-Aridha, President al-Alimi listened to a short report on the accomplishment level of settling cases before different justice departments.

The report included settling suspended cases before the Supreme Court during the past period and finishing more than 16 cases referred by General Prosecution, in addition to continuous updating to judiciary apparatus with support from the government represented by Ministry of Justice, especially qualifying infrastructure of the ministry and the Supreme Judiciary Council.

The report also included achieved work of establishing the National Center for Forensic Medicine and re-publishing the judiciary bulletin.

President al-Alimi expressed appreciation to the leadership of the Judiciary Authority and its affiliates in different provinces for enhancing the rule of law and doing justice to the wronged citizens.

He renewed commitment of the Presidential Leadership Council and the government of supporting the Judiciary Authority, facilitating its tasks and respecting its independence in performing its constitutional and legal duties.
