Minister of State and Governor of Aden Ahmed Lamlas discussed with the representative of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Yemen here today ways to address the effects of displacement and migration that Aden Governorate is suffering from.

The meeting focused on mechanisms to support the infrastructure of sewage lines in Aden Governorate, and to encourage the voluntary return of illegal immigrants from the Horn of Africa to their countries, and the displaced to their safe areas.

Lamlas stressed the necessity of activating the National Committee for Refugee Affairs and quickly addressing the problems of illegal immigration and displacement, indicating that the local authority is looking forward to seeing urgent practical steps on the ground to address the problems of illegal immigration and displacement, which constitute a great burden on the city of Aden.
