The Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen is preparing to implement a project to establish a seawater desalination plant in the interim capital, Aden, with a capacity of 10,000 cubic meters, to meet the growing civilian needs for fresh water.
The Minister of Water and Environment, Engineer Tawfiq Al-Sharjabi, had discussed with a Saudi delegation from the Saline Water Conversion Corporation and a team from the program the data and studies related to the project and the proposed sites for establishing the station.
The project aims to enhance renewable water resources through desalination using the latest technologies and the highest standards of water quality.
