The Alliance of Yemeni political parties and components has expressed full support for President Rashad al-Alimi’s decision to launch military operations aimed at restoring state control over the remaining areas of Yemen.
The Alliance called for unified military operations under a single command and joint operations room, urging the use of available land, air, and naval capabilities to defeat the Houthi rebellion and restore state institutions.
It also praised the support of the Arab Coalition, condemned Houthi attacks against Saudi Arabia and threats to international shipping in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab and called on the international community to support the Yemeni government and cut off Iranian arms and financial support to the Houthis.
The Alliance stressed that the ultimate goal is to restore the Yemeni state, end the Houthi coup and achieve a lasting and just peace based on the Gulf Initiative, the National Dialogue outcomes and UN Security Council Resolution 2216.
