Cairo - Saba
The Ambassador of Yemen to Arab Republic of Egypt, Dr. Muhammad Marem, discussed today with the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Consular Affairs and Egyptians Abroad, Ambassador Ismail Khairat, the new procedures to regulate the entry and residence process in Egypt.
Ambassador Marem expressed the appreciation of our country, government and people, for all the facilities granted to the Yemeni community during the past period. He hoped that the new Egyptian procedures would be reconsidered, especially since most of the Yemeni travellers to Egypt are patients and wounded seeking medical treatment, or refugees fleeing the scourge of the war imposed by the Houthi militia.
Marem praised the distinguished bilateral relations between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples, reaffirming the position of our country and its political leadership represented by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad El-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council in support of Egypt and its political leadership in all issues of concern to Egyptian national security, which represents the main pillar of Arab national security.
