Marib – Saba
The Iranian-backed Houthi militia committed 118 violations of the UN-brokered truce yesterday, Saturday July 16, on the battlefronts in the governorates of Hajjah, Al Hudaydah, Al Dhale’, Saada, Al Jawf and Marib, in light of the commitment of the army and resistance forces to a complete ceasefire in implementation of the directives of the political and military leadership.
The Houthi violations included 29 breaches west of Hajjah Governorate, 27 breaches in the Hays axis south of Hodeidah, 24 breaches on the fronts of the Taiz axis, and 15 breaches south, west and northwest of Marib.
At the forefront of the violations was an infiltration attempt carried out by Houthi armed groups towards important army sites west of Marib, which the army forces thwarted in its first moments. The rest of the violations varied between shooting at army positions on various fronts from artillery weapons, different calibers, snipers and booby-trapped drones, which resulted in the death of one of the army’s heroes and the injury of 8 others, in addition to the Houthi militia’s constructing of new sites and fortifications, digging trenches and deploying unmanned reconnaissance planes in various locations.
