A meeting held Monday chaired by Minister of Planning and International Cooperation and Yemen’s Governor to the World Bank Dr. Afrah al-Zouba and attended by a high-level World Bank delegation led by the Bank’s Vice President for the Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan and Pakistan Ousmane Dione discussed ways to enhance partnership and expand support across development, humanitarian, service, and economic sectors in the country.

Minister of Finance Salim bin Bureik held discussions here today with the World Bank Country Director in Yemen Tania Mayer on the economic situations and aspects of technical support for the Ministry of Finance.

The latest developments about political and humanitarian situations and challenges facing the Yemeni government, namely economic hardships, improve national currency exchange were elaborately discussed.

Bin Bureik cited the government's ongoing efforts to achieve the economic, financial and administrative reforms, calling on friendly countries to keep and increase their support for the government's efforts to achieve the needed economic and financial reforms.
