The Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) headed by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, held a joint meeting today, Monday, with the National Defense Council, (NDC) in the presence of all its members: Sultan al-Arada, Tariq Saleh, Abdulrahman al-Mahrami, Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi, Othman Majli, Mahmoud al-Subaihi and Salem al-Khanbashi.

Foreign Minister, Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, discussed with the United States Special Envoy to Yemen, Tim Linderking, the latest developments in the political process and efforts to establish peace in Yemen.

Bin Mubarak touched on the Yemeni-Yemeni consultations currently held in Riyadh, stressing that it is an important step that will bring together the Yemeni ranks with all its components and sects to work towards ending the war, praising the positive atmosphere and responsible interaction by all participants in the consultations, expressing his hope that positive results will emerge from these consultations in a way that serves peace and stability in Yemen.

He also reviewed the efforts made by the government to confront economic challenges, especially in light of global changes and the new burdens they have added on food and energy prices, stressing the government's continued implementation of financial and monetary reforms aimed at achieving economic stability, stressing the importance of continuing regional and

international support for the government. In this aspect as the most important factors that will contribute to alleviating the human suffering caused by the Houthi militia war in Yemen.

For his part, the US envoy expressed his happiness at the launch of Yemeni consultations in Riyadh and his country's support for efforts to reach a political solution in Yemen. He also stressed the importance of supporting the Yemeni economy and the government's efforts to achieve economic and financial reforms, stressing the continuation of providing humanitarian aid to Yemen, reiterating his country's support for the government and the unity of the country and stability and the security of Yemen.
