MASAM demines 1472 Houthi-laid landmines in a week

KSrelif Center's Demining Project in Yemen "MASAM" managed to pull out 1472 of landmines, unexploded ordnances (UXO) and explosives devices in the third week of March 2022.

This large amount of landmines planted randomly by Iran-allied Houthi rebels in different Yemeni regions.

KSrelief reported that MASAM's deminers removed 28 anti-personnel and 298 anti-tanks landmines, 1132 UXO and 15 explosives devices.

This brings total number of the Houthis-laid landmines removed by MASAM up to 326 thousand and 699 since it has started its demining mission.
