RIYADH-SABA
Under-Secretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Mansour Baggash and Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to the Republic of Yemen Mostafa Polat discussed today aspects of bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
The conversations, which held via videoconference, covered the latest developments in Yemen including the significant military advancements the government's troops gained against Iran-allied Houthi rebels in the two governorates of Shabwa and Marib.
Baggash touched upon Houthi militia's serious military escalations and ballistic missiles and drones attacks against the civil facilities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and United Arab Emirates, as well as maritime piracy in the Red Sea.
He stated that an international action is imperative, namely by the International Security permanent member states to blacklist Houthi militia as a terrorist organization and mount pressure upon Iran to stop its subversive role in Yemen.
The Turkish Ambassador renewed his country's stance in support of Yemen, its unity, security and stability.
Mr. Polat expressed Turkey's condemnation of Houthi militia's unjustified escalation and attacks on the neighboring countries.
