Yemen, Arab and Muslim Nations Reject Somaliland Move to Establish Mission in Occupied Jerusalem
Yemen and several Arab and Muslim countries have denounced the announcement by the self-declared Somaliland region regarding the opening of what was described as a diplomatic mission in occupied Jerusalem, calling the move unlawful and a clear breach of international law and relevant UN resolutions governing the status of the city.

Planning Minister Humanitarian Coordinator discusses challenges to humanitarian activity

Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Dr. Waed Badheib discussed with the Humanitarian Coordinator for Yemen, David Grizzly, in the Saudi capital today efforts to confront the challenges to humanitarian activity and future directions in raising performance and transition towards development programs.

The meeting also touched on the mechanisms adopted by international organizations and other agencies to limit the negatives that appeared during the last period and to raise the efficiency of using the resources available for development and relief aid and to give greater attention to development aspects in a way that achieves justice among those in need of such assistance.

Dr. Badeeb stressed that mobilizing any new resources to cover the funding gap for the humanitarian response plan and aid will depend on adopting a new methodology and providing sustainable support and economic recovery in line with the needs to support the riyal currency stability and enhance the citizens' purchasing power.
