Prime Minister Dr. Ma'een Abdulmalik received today the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to the Republic of Yemen Salim al-Ghafli.
The session aimed to discuss a number of developments most important of all are the urgency for getting Riyadh Agreement implemented in full, empowering the government to operate in the temporary capital Aden and unifying the efforts to counter Houthi militia's coup and deter its endless attacks and the Iranian spoil role in Yemen.
The conversations also touched upon aspects of cooperation between the Yemeni government and the UAE, the urgently needed support for the government to manage the challenges facing the country, first and foremost the economic recovery and reconstruction.
The Prime Minister stated that it is very important for all parties to Riyadh Agreement to comply with getting Riyadh Agreement implementation accomplished, enabling the government to do its job effectively, alleviate the peoples' suffering and improve basic services.
The Emirati Ambassador confirmed his country's full support for the Yemeni government, reiterating the UAE stance in support of the implementation of Riyadh Agreement in full.
He also affirmed the UAE support for the UN-led peace efforts to make peace in Yemen based on the three terms of reference agreed on.
