A preliminary meeting held today in the temporary capital Aden brought together the Yemeni government's side headed by Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Dr. Wa'id Batheeb and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) represented by the UNDP resident representative Oki Lutsma.
The session devoted to discuss a wide range of topics relating to the economic recovery requirements and the UNDP's interventions to support the government's efforts aiming to bring about the urgently needed economic recovery and realizing the comprehensive and sustainable peace.
Dr. Batheeb provided a detailed presentation about the current economic hardships, the government's plans and efforts aiming to manage the economic challenges, achieve the desirable and endurable peace and handle the coronavirus pandemic.
