Vice President Ali Mohsen Saleh discussed the Chinese ambassador to Yemen, Kang Yong, the latest developments on the national arena and the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.
The meeting touched on the historical relations between Yemen and China, China's support to Yemen, and the efforts to establish a lasting peace in Yemen.
The Vice President reaffirmed the government’s adherence to permanent peace with the Houthi rebels based on the three relevant terms of reference.
He said that the conduct of the Iranian-backed putschists, however, fly in the face of the peace process, e.g. by the way of military escalation with missiles and done attacks. He cited the militia’s recent repeated violations that failed the Hodeidah Agreement, which stemmed from the December 2018 Sweden Statement of Understanding.
