The U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) announced today the designation of 21 individuals and entities, as well as the identification of one vessel, on the sanctions list for their involvement in transporting petroleum products, purchasing weapons and equipment and providing financial services to the Iran-backed Houthi terrorist militias.

Presidential Committee meets MPs, Shoura Council Members

The Presidential Committee tasked with inspecting security conditions in Hadhramout met Thursday with a number of parliament and Shoura Council members and members of local council in Hadhramout.

In the meeting, which included the head of the committee Ahmad al-Musawi and the Assistant Deputy Governor of Hadhramout for the Valley and Desert Affairs Hisham al-Sa'eedi, the attendants confirmed sitting with concerned security officials for addressing security's faults and tackling them.

MPs and Shoura Council members stressed accurate points in the committee's report on security and government's following up implementation of the outcomes and recommendations made by the committee.

The members pointed out that Hadhramout includes today people from across the country and protected the state's institutions, a matter requires government's help to the province's authorities for alleviating all difficulties they face for improving services.
