Minister of information Muammar al-Eryani condemned the Houthi kidnapping of ex-minister of culture Saleh Al-Roweishan from his house in the capital Sana'a early on Sunday.
Al-Eryani said the rude way in which al-Roweishan was arrested in his home indicates the level of moral decadence of the Houthi guerilla. "It is one of thousands of cases of kidnapping against politicians, social figures, journaljsts and other activists," he said. "It also reflects the criminal mindset" and rejectionist ideology of the Houthi militia, he said.
He called on the international community and the UN peace mediator in Yemen to denounce the abuse.
